Kijafa is an R&B recording artist and songwriter who has been known to dance, rap and freestyle during live performances. Her roots in gospel music have shaped her into a soulful songstress in the R&B and hip hop realm and her voice and tone have been described as, "milky, smooth and sultry". Kijafa is a Compton native and began to embrace her vocal abilities while attending Long Beach Jordan High School, where she was an active participant in the Performing Arts Magnet Program. In 2009, Kijafa began her stretch as a background vocalist, working with Margo Thunder, Soulmatik and Team Jesus. Since then, she has collaborated with other great artists such as Charlie Bereal, DJ Quik, Demetrius Martin, Marknoxx and many more. Today you can find this songbird hosting in Leimert Park and house singing at The Juice Joint, one of the hottest open mic jams on the West Coast. Kijafa has stepped forward as a solo artist, vocal powerhouse and entertainer, releasing her debut single "They Don't Know" in 2017 with "Don't Worry" following in 2018 and her third single, "Watch Out" featuring Grammy winning artist Jairus "J. Mo" Mozee.
