Shannon Van Esley
Shannon Van Esley is a New York City based Voiceover, Commercial, Stage, TV/Film Actor, Theatre Educator, Singer, and Activist. Born in Detroit, she moved to NYC at age 17 and trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School. She's performed professionally on stage (Yates Musical Theatre, American Family Theatre, Celtic Theatre Company), camera (American Prophet, The Perfect Murder, Brain Games) in the recording booth (Google, Fisher Price, Mega Bloks, Brother Ink) and has taught at Motor City Youth Theatre and Paper Mill Playhouse Classes for Kids. She's held leadership and advocacy roles and worked with/for organizations including Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, New York Coalition to End Gun Violence, Flip These Houses, Concert Across America to End Gun Violence, and Women's March, Inc. Shannon lives with her charming boyfriend, Eric Davidson (music journalist and lead singer of the garage punk band New Bomb Turks) in Queens, and -possibly most important of all- has a hilarious cat named Hello!
